That's Ella's new word. She said it for the 1st time today and I couldn't help but clap and jump up and down. Of course, this made her laugh and say it again and again. She even said it to Will on the phone. So, I have hope once again that one day our daughter will be able to communicate with us verbally. :-)
And those tiny feet are growing. Just the other day, she saw a picture of herself w/her shiny, black shoes. She did the shoe sign, then led me into her room and pointed to the closet. I got the shoes out for her to put on, but alas they would not fit. I almost cried right there. I just got them for her in Nov-how do those feet grow so fast?
And I must tell you about the treasured sounds in our house.
Daddy reading to Ella...Daddy laughing b/c Ella's laughing at a picture...and Daddy singing
Down in the valley, valley so low
Hang your head over, hear the wind blow,
Hear the wind blow, dear, hear the wind blow,
Lean your head over, hear the wind blow
Roses love sunshine, violets love dew
Angels in heaven know I love you
Know I love you, dear, know I love you
Angels in heaven, know I love you.
Can anything be sweeter?

No,nothing is sweeter! Thanks for posting that: what a beautiful image. She'll definitely have him wrapped around her little finger, don't you think!
yep-she already does. :-)
That's just precious...nothing sweeter than daddies and their little girls.
Gracie doesn't talk much, though she will repeat words we say. She once said "I love you" clear as day after Danny said it to her. We were shocked, and excited, though she hasn't done it since. Gracie's favorite word right now is "Bubba".
About those growing feet...we took Gracie to the shoe store the other day to get shoes, (it had been about three months) and her foot had grown from a 5 to a 6.5!! Her poor little toes couldn't grow any more in her old shoes. These girls are growing too fast!
I agree, nothing sweeter. I love watching Daniel with Little Mama! Too precious.

Karanena-wow-I love you-how neat that must have been to hear. Ella will sign I love but hasn't gotten to the you (pointing at us) yet.
Okay, so now I know how tiny Ella's feet really are (despite their recent growth). Gracie's probably average at her shoe size for an 18 month old.
Letisha-off topic, but I'm curious-did you find out in advance what you were having w/any of your pregnancies? I'm considering not finding out for our next one, though it will be hard b/c planning a nursery for a specific gender is such fun!
No we always go with the surprise at birth! I honestly love the last push and hearing someone in my family announce what we had. Usually one of our Mom's!

How fun and exciting! I'm hoping I'll have the patience to wait.
So sweet...Ella is one lucky, loved and cherished little girl.
