Ella's Height

Letisha asked me awhile back how tall Ella is.
I measured her today and she definitely has grown.
She's 29.75 inches. That's huge for her-a whole inch of growth in 2 months time. But she's still at the 9th percentile for a 17 month old. And still wearing 6-9 month pants. I think this is b/c her torso is long but her legs are quite short. Oh well. She's healthy and happy-that's all that matters.

umm, Rachel is 27 months old and is 32 inches tall. Not much taller than Ella! My SIL told me about "yet another height calculator" and it projected Rachel to be 5'1". We shall see...

Also, Caleb is 4 and can still wear 24 month pants! Someday he will get his growth spurt, I hope!

Wow-so you know what I'm talking about. :-) That does make me feel better knowing that there are other "shorties" out there who are just fine.

By the way, I'm curious about that height calculator-what's the html?

Yeah, sorry about that. I had to google it for you.

How tall are you by the way? I am 5'3". My Grandma was 4'11" and my sister and I both prayed to be taller than her!

Don't worry about her height. She will be adorable, smart, and sweet no matter what. And I'll bet she'll end up being tall anyway (look at Willie). My patients that are "short" call it vertically challenged. I have one patient who is under 5 ft and married a 6 ft man so they could reach all the cabinets...hehehe. Oh, and shopping for Kris who is 6'5" at the big and tall stores SUCKS! Plus, I always see the nicest things in the petite sections...

Well, I did it and it said her future height is 5 feet 0.9 inches. I'm 5'3" and Will is 6'2". Who knows? It said b-4 18 months of age it's not as reliable-maybe I'll try back in a few months.

Liz, yes, Will hates having to pay extra for "Tall" items but I also hate trying to find pants in petite sizes that I like. When I do find them, I still have to wear them w/heels-otherwise they're still too long. :-(
And hemming is too much trouble and expensive. (As you can tell, I don't know how to do my own.)

Oh, and do you know how sad it is for me to see ADORABLE flannel PJ pants, only to realize they're all too long for my short legs? I finally found some petite sizes at Eddie Bauer. I think Will's getting me some for Christmas. Yay!

So all that to say, that I hope for Ella's sake, she'll be the average height for women's pants, which I think is at least 5'5".

OK, Thats it: I'm teaching you to hem: its ridicuously easy and even I at 5'7" have to hem my pants. Only Emmie shouldn't have to...

Really? Yay! I look forward to learning from you...
